HTC One Coming to India in April: Top 10 Cases Available for UltraPixel Smartphone
After much hype going all over the tech world, Taiwanese tech giant took the wraps off the highly anticipated HTC One lately. At the time of launch, the company claimed that its flagship smartphone will start shipping from April 2013. Hence, consumers across the world who are looking forward to own the handset are eagerly awaiting the release of the Android heavyweight.
India being one of the main markets of HTC, is sure to get One in the first wave of release. However, there seems to be some delay in the release of the handset due to some component shortage. Moreover, with the massive pre-order in U.S. crossing several hundred thousands, HTC is striving too hard to release the handset in order to cope up with the demand.
Hence, to get a clear picture on the availability of the smartphone, Gizbot contacted the inside source of HTC, who remained tight lipped on the same. Meantime, Rediff Shopping, an online retailer site has listed the HTC One for pre-order at a price of Rs 49,990, which is pretty expensive.
Just a recap of specs, HTC One has a 4.7 inch Super LCD 3 capacitive touchscreen display with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 1.7GHz quad core Qualcomm APQ8064T Snapdragon 600 processor, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS, 4MP UltraPixel rear camera with BSI sensor, 2.1MP front camera for video calling, 2GB RAM, 32GB/64GB internal storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, 4G, high speed HSPA+, micro USB and a 2,300 mAh battery.
The UltraPixel camera used in HTC One takes in 300% more light than a standard smartphone sensor. This should give the handset far better low light performance than other high-end smartphone cameras. Better low-light performance translates to less grainy and underexposed images in poor lighting conditions and improved focus.
Also, based on Sense 5 UI, the smartphone comes with software features including highly innovative features including BlinkFeed, Zoe, BoomSound and Sense Voice that offer an enhanced user experience apart from the usual Beats Audio integration.
Meantime, the newly launched HTC One has already got a plethora of cases to protect it from damages. Having a plastic panel with a metallic rim, the consumers will definitely have to protect their One by using a case on it. Most of the popular case makers have already started coming up with their best offerings for the HTC One.
For those looking forward to pre-order or buy the HTC One soon after its official release in India, below is a slideshow showing the cases meant for the handset.
