Samsung Unveils Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition With Galaxy AI & Olympic-Themed Wallpaper - But There’s a Catch

Samsung has announced the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition, which is exclusively designed for all athletes competing at the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.

It's worth mentioning that this special edition is not for sale; it's only for athletes, and the phone will accompany athletes throughout their Games-time experience. The Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition will be distributed to approximately 3,800 athletes from nearly 90 countries from January 30.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition comes in a distinctive blue finish on the back glass, mirroring Milano Cortina 2026 visual identity while echoing Samsung’s heritage and Italy’s famous azure shade, with the colour intended to symbolise unity, fair play and the shared spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic movements.

The handset includes exclusive Milano Cortina 2026 wallpapers, featuring colourful sweeping lines that reference winter sport dynamics, inspired by traces left when skate blades cut across ice, visually honouring the Olympic spirit and reflecting the passion and movement of every competing athlete.

It brings a new edge-to-edge FlexWindow with Galaxy AI so athletes can quickly access information, capture content and manage daily tasks without depending on a full screen unfold. The camera setup features dual rear lenses, including a 50MP Wide camera and a 12MP Ultra-Wide lens, delivering high-resolution photos and expansive field-of-view options.

The Now Brief function offers personalised snapshots of the day, giving reminders, calendar notes and fitness summaries, while also pulling in health and competition resources from several apps, including Athlete365, so athletes can glance at the FlexWindow to see Olympic updates, schedules and wellbeing information.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition will include a curated package of pre-installed applications and services aimed at making life in the Olympic and Paralympic Villages smoother, from communications and ticketing to fitness tracking and community-building tools available throughout Milano Cortina 2026.

Athletes can use the Galaxy Athlete Card experience to share digital profiles, gather cards and take part in interactive activities, encouraging connections between participants from different sports and delegations, and helping build a stronger sense of international community during the Games.

Connectivity support includes a complimentary 100GB 5G eSIM for each device, plus Samsung Wallet access developed with Worldwide and Local partners, offering digital passes and services such as the Coca-Cola Free Beverage Key, which works at vending machines installed across the Olympic and Paralympic Villages.

Athlete365 is integrated into the Now Brief feature, merging performance advice, mental health tools and essential competition information, while other services such as the official Olympic Games app, IOC Hotline and Pinquest focus on day-to-day convenience and performance support in the Village and competition sites.

The pre-installed fitness app will link with exercise machines inside the Olympic and Paralympic Villages, allowing athletes to log workouts and receive tailored training insights, helping them monitor physical preparation and adjust sessions while staying close to venues and team facilities.

Samsung includes Photo Assist, which uses AI to adjust pictures by moving, deleting or enlarging objects, correcting angles and filling backgrounds. The on-device Interpreter feature offers real-time translation without needing a network connection.
