For Sony the success of Xperia Z is not only crucial for its survival, but largely a responsibility to uplift the brand. The Japanese giant, who is aiming to dethrone Huawei from third occupied position in the smartphone tally, has been flooded with numerous complaints. Company's latest wonder - Xperia Z is in the centre stage for not delivering promise.
Reports are in that customers who purchased the Sony Xperia Z recently are threatening to exchange the handset in lieu of HTC One. Many were upset with the sudden death of their beloved Xperia Z citing battery problems. For some tricks did wonders while others are still clueless. However, Xperia Blog reports that Sony has accepted to the fact that this might be a software problem. Sony says" fix for this will be implemented in next software update".
This is what anguished Xperia Z user wrote on xda developer's forum-:
"Bought my Xperia Z a week ago and was thrilled with it until it just died yesterday for no reason. Symptoms: battery has drained withing 6-7 hours after full charging, phone was quite hot although no heavy apps running. After full battery discharge it just simply would not charge or react to any action: power button, power button + volume up key: both do not work however long I press them. Dont know what to do, so frustrating!!. Do not want to switch back to iPhone....
Any ideas except than just returning it back (got it in Moscow, while I was travelling for a short trip, would need to travel all the way there again and not sure if they accept returns or exchanges...) ??"
While another user even wished to replace the Sony Xperia Z with HTC One -:
"Had a XZ from the 28/02. Now in the process of sending it back , it just died not so much as a peep out of it , probably something to do with the battery but as their is no way of getting at it, as it would invalidate guarantee, i will never know. Have to send back the lovely headphones as well , exchanging for a HTC ONE learnt from numerous tv exchanges best to go for something new , rather than waiting for the problem to replicate its self in another XZ".
