Xiaomi Mi VR Play Headset Launched at Rs. 999, Availability Starts December 21
Xiaomi unveiled it's Mi VR Play headset in India with a price tag of Rs. 999.
Xiaomi, the Chinese electronics giant recently launched its Mi VR Play headset for the Indian market. In the Mi Pop event, Xiaomi's VP Hugo Barra unveiled that the VR Play headset will be made available in India starting from December 21.
The Xiaomi VR Play headset was first announced in China in August 2016 and has finally been made available for the Indian market priced at Rs. 999. Going by the company's announcement, the headset will just be available on the official website mi.com. However, whether the headset will be available on any e-commerce website or not is yet to be officially announced by Xiaomi.

The company will be offering the VR Play headset in a limited edition colorful designs like denim, leopard prints, and Van Gogh, which will weigh nearly 208.7 grams and measure 201 x 107 x 91mm.
Xiaomi's VR Play will be available only to very limited customers as the headset is made compatible with devices having a 4.7 to 5.7-inch display, which surely means that Xiaomi's Mi Max smartphones are not compatible which consists of a display of 6.4 inches.
This new VR Play will come packed with a zipper, which will protect the user's phone from dropping and damaging and is also built with Lycra fabric, which makes the VR Play skin-friendly, light weight and is perfectly suitable for long hours of usage. Hence, these features make the headset pretty reliable and durable.

Along with these features, the headset has been designed in such a way that makes it not only compatible with Mi Live VR streaming but also with Google Cardboard and YouTube's 360-degree videos.
