Google Fitbit Air Launching in India in October 2026: Check Features and Expected Pricing

Google is bringing its latest screen-free fitness tracker to India. The company has confirmed that the Fitbit Air will launch in the country in October 2026, expanding its wearable portfolio beyond conventional smartwatches and into a category currently dominated by products such as the Whoop band.

The announcement comes shortly after Google's Made by Google event, where it introduced the Pixel 11 series, including the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, alongside the Pixel Watch 5 and Pixel Tag.

Fitbit Air India Launch Details

Google has confirmed the October 2026 launch timeline for the Fitbit Air, but it has not yet revealed the exact launch date, India price, colour options or retail availability. These details are expected to be announced closer to the launch.

The company showcased the Fitbit Air with a pink Performance Loop band, suggesting that this colour combination could be among the options available in India. However, Google has not officially confirmed the complete lineup of variants for the Indian market.

The Fitbit Air has already appeared on Amazon India, providing an early indication that the device could be sold through the e-commerce platform when it officially launches.

The Google Fitbit Air price in India will likely fall around the 10K mark, presumably Rs 9,999. To recall, the Fitbit Air debuted in the US earlier this year, starting from $99.99.

Fitbit Air Features and Health Tracking

The Fitbit Air takes a different approach to fitness tracking by eliminating the display entirely. Instead, the lightweight wearable is designed to continuously collect health and fitness data while users view their information through Google's companion software.

The tracker supports 24/7 heart-rate monitoring, heart-rhythm tracking, AFib alerts, SpO2 monitoring, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, sleep stages and sleep duration. It can also automatically recognise and record common activities, with Google's algorithms becoming more personalised over time.

Fitbit Air is compatible with both Android and iOS and connects with Google's new Health app, which is set to eventually replace the existing Fitbit app and Google Fit.

Battery and Subscription

Google claims the Fitbit Air can deliver up to seven days of battery life on a single charge. Five minutes of charging can reportedly provide up to a day's worth of power, making quick top-ups more convenient.

The tracker does not require a subscription for basic functionality. However, Google offers Health Premium for users seeking deeper insights and analytics, while each Fitbit Air purchase includes a three-month trial of the service.

With pricing and availability still under wraps, more details about the Fitbit Air's India launch are expected ahead of its October debut.
