The Huawei Watch GT 2 is the first smartwatch from the company powered by the Kirin A1 chipset -- a custom processor from the brand tailor-made for accessories like smartwatches and wireless earphones. It was unveiled in select markets in early September and is likely to launch in the first week of December in India.
Huawei Watch GT 2 Specifications
The Huawei Watch GT 2 will be available in two sizes -- 42mm dial and a 46mm dial, both powered by the Kirin A1 chipset. It comes in three color options: Matte Black, Pebble Brown, and Titanium Grey with various strap options.
Both models offer modern connectivity features like Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and are also water and dust resistant with up to 50 meters. Plus, the watches also offer various fitness tracking sensors and an accurate heart rate monitor.
The 42mm dial model pack-in a 1.2-inch circular AMOLED display with 390x390p resolution, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass. The watch offers 16MB RAM and 4GB storage with a 215 mAh battery. Similarly, the 46mm dial model has an ever slightly bigger 1.39-inch circular AMOLED display with a 454x454p resolution.
The bigger model offers 32MB RAM and 4GB onboard storage with a 455 mAh battery that can store enough juice for up to two weeks on a single charge.
As per the pricing, the base variant is expected to be priced in the vicinity of Rs. 15,000 and the bigger model might cost around Rs. 20,000. These smartwatches will work with both Android and iOS smartphones. However, some of the features can only be used when paired with an Android smartphone.
