Moto Stereo Speaker, the latest Moto Mod launched
After the JBL SoundBoost, JBL SoundBoost Moto Mod, and Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa, Motorola has launched another speaker mod.
Motorola is known for the launch of snap-on cases with various functionalities called Moto Mods. The company continues to enhance the user experience with more such accessories. The latest one is the Moto Stereo Speaker and is the fourth speaker mod to be released by the company. Already, Motorola has launched JBL SoundBoost, JBL SoundBoost Moto Mod, and Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa.
As usual, the Moto Stereo Speaker mod is also compatible with all the Moto Z series smartphones. It is priced at $59.99 (approx. Rs. 3,900). Though it is relatively cheaper than the Moto Mods from JBL, it is touted to provide a powerful stereo output of 80 dB at 50 cm. This mod also doubles as a hands-free speaker.
The latest Moto Stereo Speaker mod has two 28 mm stereo speakers as well as a kickstand in order to make it easier and more convenient for users to watch videos in the landscape mode. Motorola touts the latest accessory to be capable of adding depth and texture to the audio-visual experience.
The Moto Stereo Speaker mod has been launched in three color variants - Red, Black, and Blue. The accessory measures 153 x 73 x 15 mm in dimensions and weighs in at 102 grams. As mentioned above, it is priced at $59.99 and it can be purchased at $10 per month on choosing the monthly payment option.
Misses out battery unlike JBL SoundBoost
Unlike the JBL SoundBoost and many other moto mods, this one from the company does not feature an inbuilt battery. Having said that, this Moto Mod uses the smartphone's battery in order to power it. This way the latest Moto Mod will result in battery drain based on your usage.
For now, there is no word on the global availability of the Moto Stereo Speaker. India being a price conscious market, we doubt how well these accessories will fare in the country as this expense adds on to the cost of the smartphone. There could be who are interested in buying the Moto Mods paying the additional cost. But it remains to be seen how many will shell out for an accessory without an inbuilt battery. We say so as there are other Moto Mods those have a battery in them.
