Motorola has now launched five new Moto Mods for Moto Z-series smartphones. The new Moto Mods come under the company's Style Shell-series and quite interestingly these new accessories are the first Moto Mods made out of polycarbonate and Gorilla Glass 5.
Talking about the Style Shell Moto Mods, these are basically interchangeable back covers that can modify the look and overall aspect of Moto Z smartphones. The five new Moto Mods are available in different and interesting designs like Colored leaves, Expressive curves, Graphic flowers, Overlapping triangles, and Retro stripe.
The new Style Shell Moto Mods weigh 53g compared to older Style Shells and Motorola claims that these Mods will be able to survive drops from up to 5.2 feet (1.6 meters). The company has said that the new backs are "damage resistant". The Mods measure 154 x 74 x 2 mm. In terms of pricing, all the variants of the Mods are priced at $29.99 (roughly Rs. 1,900). Previously Motorola had released Moto Style Shells (Silver Oak Wood, Herringbone Nylon, and Crimson Ballistic Nylon).
However, till date, Motorola has introduced a lot of Moto Mods for its smartphones. From a Polaroid camera attachment to a dedicated gamepad to a wireless charging-enabled back shell Motorola has been quite steady in bringing out new Moto Mods for its Moto Z family of smartphones.
Back in December the company also launched three new Moto Mods for its premium flagship Moto Z franchise in India. The company announced the JBL SoundBoost 2 speaker Mod, Moto TurboPower Pack battery Mod and the GamePad Mod. And with these Moto Mods, users can transform their smartphones into exactly what they need and when they need.
Having said that, it seems that the company is bringing transformative new functions to life by launching new Moto Mods for consumers. Besides the company has said that its commitment is to build a better mobile future with the promise of limitless possibilities, through the new mods.
