Xiaomi Mi True Wireless Earphones 2S Launch Could Be Imminent

As the truly wireless earbuds contribute to a new product category that is booming right now, several companies have started coming up with such offerings. Realme is all set to take the wraps off its first pair of truly wireless earbuds on December 17. Also, there are claims that OnePlus is going to launch a similar product in the coming months.

However, Xiaomi is not new to this category as the company has already announced a few such products. The latest offering that the company is all set to launch is believed to be dubbed Mi True Wireless Earphones 2S. In a recent development, it has surfaced on the Bluetooth SIG website with the model number TWSEJ05WM.

The Xiaomi Mi True Wireless Earphones 2S is believed to be the sequel to the Mi AirDots Pro 2 that is available in China. The latest offering is said to be launched with support for wireless charging to counter the Apple AirPods 2, which has an optional wireless charging case.

Going by the Bluetooth certification database, the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2S is all set to be launched with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. It carries the model number TWSEJ05WM, which is closer to the model number TWSEJ02JY, which is that of the Mi True Wireless Earphones launched earlier this year.

As per the listing spotted by GizmoChina, there is something called Tiinlab.com.cn, which is the product website. This is a Chinese acoustics manufacturer producing headphones and other audio devices under the 1More brand. This suggests that Xiaomi might have partnered with the Shenzhen-based company to produce the next-generation truly wireless earbuds.

What We Think

For now, there is no word regarding what the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2S will be bundled with but the certification page shows that it could be launched soon as it has cleared the same. We can expect it to be a tough challenger to both Apple AirPods and Realme Buds Air with similar features such as wireless charging support.
