WhatsApp Gets the New Voicemail Feature: Here's How to Use It
WhatsApp is long rumored to introduce a slew of new features including the ability to send voicemails. Now, there is good news for the users as the app brings the handy Voice Message feature.

Well, to make use of the Voice Message feature on your iOS and Android device, the app should be updated to the 2.16.8 or 2.16.230 version of the app respectively.

You get three options now
Previously, when a WhatsApp was declined or unattended by the recipient, it will take you to the older window that could be the contact's chat screen or the calls tab. With the roll out of the Voice Message feature, you will be given three opitons to choose from - Cancel, Call Again and Voice Message.
Works similar to recorded message
On pressing the Voice Message option, you will get to know that sending a Voice Message is just like sending a recorded message within chats. You just have to hold on the icon and record a message and send it.
Lift your finger to send the voice message
After recording the voice message, you just have to lift your finger from the icon to send the voicemail to the contact. Also, you can discard the message by sliding across the screen's left.
Gets delivered as a chat
The Voice Message that the recipient has received will be sent to the contact just like an audio message and it can be found in the chat window.
Its a handy and easy to use feature
This way, you need not go to the contact's chat window and send a voice message. Its easy to send it right from the call screen, so it becomes a handy feature addition to WhatsApp.
