Adobe Photoshop For iPad: New Features

The first version of Photoshop for iPad included some basic features like composting, masking, and retouching. But, the app users reported that it was still missing on many key features. Adobe's product manager, Pam Clark said in a blog post that the company is "excited to share" about the future "and give you a glimpse into what's to come and how your input is reflected in our planning process."

As part of the Adobe Photoshop for iPad feature update, a new subject selection tool, powered by Adobe's Sensei machine-learning technology, will be added. Plus, Adobe is planning to make Cloud PSD synchronization faster. The company plans to achieve this by releasing an update to the app by the end of 2019.

In addition, Adobe will launch some new features with Lightroom integration to the app in the first half of 2020. As part of this update, Refine Edge, Curves, brush sensitivity, rotate canvas, and Curves will be added to the app. The Lightroom integration on the app will allow users to process raw images in the Lightroom premium on the iPad, which can further be processed on the Photoshop app.
