Adobe Photoshop For iPad Launch

The Adobe Photoshop for iPad has been expected for a long time now. A year ago, Adobe was reportedly working on bringing the full version of the Photoshop app for the iPad, to expand its product's compatibility across multiple devices. The latest app enables retouching, compositing of images, and also supports blend modes.

The Adobe Photoshop for iPad is expected to be compatible with the iPad Pro, 11-inch, iPad Pro, 12.9-inch iPad Pro, second-generation iPad Pro, iPad 5, iPad Air2, and the iPad mini 4. The Photoshop app is also believed to support the Apple Pencil of both generations. The updated Adobe Photoshop for iPad will also feature a built-in toolbar for a desktop-like experience.

The app is expected to get an official announcement at the upcoming Adobe Max conference. Adobe might further reveal other creativity-based apps and features for the iPad and other devices. An update to the Adobe cloud service is also expected.

Adobe Photoshop For iPad Expected Features

The Adobe Photoshop for iPad is also expected to feature a context-aware user interface, where the app shows only the core tools and panes. Adobe says this helps to channel the focus on the canvas. The Photoshop app is also believed to integrate Adobe Creative Cloud that offers to sync between multiple devices.

Adobe notes in the App Store listing that "this first version focuses on core compositing and retouching tools designed to work best on the iPad with Apple Pencil and touch." Adobe is looking for enhancing its tools used for brushes, refining edges, masks, and selecting smart subjects in its future update for the iPad.
