Google Assistant on Allo App Now Understands and Speaks Hindi
Google Assistant can now reply you back in Hindi.
While WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger are ruling the instant messaging app world, Google with an intention to provide more productive features, had introduced a messaging app called Allo, a couple of months earlier.
Needless to say, the Google Assistant on the Allo app is what sets it apart from the rest. Today, adding a new feature to it, the search engine giant has announced that the Google Assistant will now be able to understand and reply in Hindi. Also, the 'Smart Reply’ feature will offer support Hindi language.
This update to the Allo app (Google Assistant) will be made available to Android and iOS device users in the 'coming few days’ said the company.

To recall, the company at its make in India event, had promised to roll out an update for Allo app with support for Hindi language (for Google Assistant).
In order to initiate a conversation with Google Assistant in Hindi, users will either have to say “Talk to me in Hindi” or change the language preference from Settings option. Google claims that, in addition to text, the Assistant will also understand images in Hindi with the help of machine learning algorithms.

“Smart Reply will recognise the language you’re chatting in and begin to show suggested responses in that language,” the search engine giant said in a statement.
Amit Fulay, Group Product Manager of Google said, “Google Allo has received tremendous response in India which has one of the highest number of Google Allo users.
“One in every 12 messages in group chats are messages to the Google Assistant. We are enthused by this and today's launch enables us to extend these futures to the next millions of users in a language of their choice,” he added.
