Making it more successful, this app is preloaded in most Android devices.

OnePlus to integrate Google Duo to dialer, contacts, and more

In a recent move, Google and OnePlus have teamed up. As per this partnership, OnePlus announced that it will integrate Google Duo app in the OxygenOS dialer, messaging and contacts apps. The company claims to have integrated Duo in its custom ROM as the app has received the highest ranking in terms of call quality study conducted in India. As a result, Duo becomes the first-party video calling app on OnePlus devices such as OnePlus 6, 6T, OnePlus 5, 5T, OnePlus 3 and 3T.

Notably, some of these devices have received the Android Pie based OxygenOS update. OnePlus 6T received the OxygenOS 9.0.12 update and the OnePlus 6 received the OxygenOS 9.0.4 update. Even the yesteryear models such as OnePlus 5 and 5T have received the beta 23 and beta 25 updates recently. As of now, there is no word regarding when the OnePlus 3 and 3T will get the Android Pie update.

Remember that the Google Duo integration will be rolled out to the OnePlus 3 duo only on receiving the Pie update. And, it is touted that the same will expand to the call logs, dial pad and messaging apps in the future.

It is believed that this integration will help both OnePlus and Duo users. As the latter is gaining more popularity, the users of the former will be able to experience seamless and high-quality video calling experience.

As of now, the OxygenOS Duo integration is available for the OnePlus 6 and 6T. The users who have older OnePlus smartphones might have to wait for a few more days to get the same.
