TikTok Owner ByteDance Has New Music Streaming Service In Store
ByteDance, a company based out of China that owns the popular app TikTok plans to foray into the music streaming market. Reports say that ByteDance is in talks with major music labels like Universal Music, Warner Music, Sony Music, and others to get a global license to stream their songs on the upcoming app music streaming service.

ByteDance Music Streaming App
The ByteDance music streaming app might hit the market as early as next month, reports the Financial Times. The report also states that BytdeDance is aiming to initially launch the music app in countries like India, Brazil, Indonesia, and others - before rolling out the app in the United States.
The ByteDance music streaming app doesn't have an official name yet. It also remains unclear whether the new music subscription app will have a price for premium ad-free services like Spotify. However, reports speculate that the ByteDance music streaming app could cost less than Rs. 129 a month, which puts the app in the same range as Spotify and Apple in the US.
ByteDance Music Streaming App With Video Clips
Additionally, ByteDance will feature a library of short video clips. However, it's unclear whether it will resemble TikTok. The reports evaluate that the short video clips will allow listeners to surf through the library and sync the videos as they listen to songs. One of the main differences between TikTok and video clip library on the new app is that users can't create new clippings or so, the reports say.
The BytdeDance music streaming app is still in its infancy and no other details about the feature have surfaced. Besides, the app can bank on its sister app's popularity as TikTok has recorded 150 crores of user base worldwide. TikTok is giving special credits to India as 31 percent of users are Indians. However, TikTok is facing certain issues with the US government over anti-trust issues, which could affect the launch of the Bytedance music streaming app.
