UIDAI mAadhar App Update Brings Enhanced Security Features

Aadhar card has become an integral part of identity for Indian citizens. UIDAI has released a new version of the mAadhar app for both Android and iOS. The update is believed to have some new features to enhance the user experience. UIDIA has recommended users to uninstall the previous version and install the new version of the app.

UIDAI mAadhar App Features

UIDAI took to Twitter to announce that it is a comprehensive platform where all the user information is available on the mobile device. The app makes it easy to download their Aadhar details if needed at any time. The mobile app includes demographics data like the name, date of birth, address, gender, and the photograph of the person.

The new mAadhar app comes with two major bifurcations, where the first is called the 'Aadhaar Services Dashboard' and the second section is described as the 'My Aadhaar Section'. The Aadhar Services Dashboard is a single-window for all Aadhar online services, which can apply to any Aadhar holder.

The second My Aadhar Section is in particular reference to that person. It is a personalized space that allows users to add profiles to the app for any selected Aadhaar holder. The Indian government has approved of using the digital mAadhar app to avail all Aadhar-based services, including collecting ration.

UIDAI mAadhar App Enhances Security

It is known that the Aadhar card carriers personal and sensitive information. With the massive amounts of data leaks taking place, UIDAI has assured the safety of the mobile app. This is why users can set a four-digit PIN for the app. The PIN is mandatory to access the My Aadhar Section of the app.

Other security measures include the time-based OTP facility, which is valid for only 30 seconds. The OTP is sent when a user wishes to lock or temporarily unlock their biometrics. The security feature also extends to sharing eKYC in the form of a message or email and VID. The new mAadhar app now also features a QR code to share the user details with the desired party.
