iPad is expected to feature a 7.85-inch screen to compete against 7-inch tablet market brands including Amazon Kindle Fire HD and Google Nexus 7, with a price tag of $199 (approx. Rs 10,000).

Moreover, iPad Mini will have slimmer side bezels, separate volume buttons, two front cameras, same form factor as the iPod Touch, 7.2 to 7.3 inch thick and possibility of LTE connectivity.

Further, the tablet is also rumored to pack the new A6 processor, a nano-SIM tray, rear facing camera, 32GB/64GB internal storage, dock Lightning connector at the bottom, a Nano-SIM tray and plastic cover for the Wi-Fi antenna and it is likely to run on iOS 6.

However, these are rumored features and they are not confirmed by Apple.

Further latest reports have emerged online that iPad Mini will hit the retail shelves in 24 different configurations with four different storage capacities and two color options, according to AppleInsider report.

The four different models to be offered are dubbed in the report as P101, P103, P105 and P107. According to the report, “The lineup could suggest that Apple plans to introduce an 8-gigabyte model that would serve as an entry-level model for the lower-priced 7.85-inch iPad. Currently, the full-sized iPad does not come with a storage capacity lower than 16 gigabytes.”

“Each of the four different product descriptions also come with three different distinctions: "GOOD," "BETTER," and "BEST," which could signify Wi-Fi-only, 3G, and 4G LTE models, respectively. Each model is also available in "A" and "B" variants, which likely identify color options of black and white, said the report.”
