Apple Launches iMac with M4 Chip and Apple Intelligence in India: Check Price, Specifications, Availability

Apple has unveiled its latest iMac, featuring the M4 chip and Apple Intelligence. This new model offers substantial performance enhancements and innovative features within a sleek design. The M4 chip boosts speed by up to 1.7 times for everyday tasks and 2.1 times for demanding activities like photo editing and gaming compared to the previous M1 version.

The iMac is available in seven vibrant colours, with matching accessories that include USB-C ports. The 24-inch 4.5K Retina display now offers a nano-texture glass option, reducing reflections in various lighting conditions. Additionally, the iMac supports Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and includes Touch ID for secure access.

Enhanced AI Capabilities

The introduction of a Neural Engine enhances AI capabilities, making this iMac an excellent choice for AI-related tasks. John Ternus, Apple's senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, emphasised the iMac's new features such as performance improvements, colour options, advanced camera technology, and display choices.

Apple Intelligence marks a new era for Mac by offering personal intelligence features that enhance user experience while safeguarding privacy. It includes systemwide Writing Tools for text refinement, a redesigned Siri for faster task execution, and creative tools like Image Playground and Genmoji.

Advanced Camera Features

The iMac's 12MP Center Stage camera enhances video calls with Desk View capabilities. This feature enriches video conferencing experiences by providing a wider view of your workspace during calls.

The iMac comes standard with 16GB of unified memory but can be configured up to 32GB. The M4 chip allows for faster productivity tasks, smoother gameplay, and improved creative workflows compared to its predecessors and other all-in-one PCs.

macOS Sequoia Integration

macOS Sequoia complements the new iMac with features such as iPhone Mirroring, an enhanced Safari browser, immersive gaming experiences, easier window tiling, and a Passwords app for secure credential storage.

This operating system aims to provide seamless integration across Apple devices. The new iMac aligns with Apple's environmental goals by using recycled materials and energy-efficient designs to support carbon neutrality efforts.

Apple iMac M4 Price in India

Customers can pre-order the base model starting at Rs 1,34,900 or opt for the higher-end model at Rs 1,54,900 with various storage and memory configurations. The Apple iMac M4 will go on sale in India from November 8 through Apple Store locations and Apple Authorized Resellers.

Customers have the option to trade in their current computers for credit towards purchasing a new iMac. Apple Intelligence is available as a free update for Macs equipped with M1 chips or later versions.
