This Xiaomi Warm Cup Doubles As A 10W Wireless Charger

Xiaomi seems to be on a spree to expand its existing product portfolio in the Mijia ecosystem with a slew of new offerings. Of late, the company has been coming up with several new lifestyle products that have a tech twist to them and the latest one to be launched in this genre is the Warm Cup.

Well, the Warm Cup has been announced in the company's home market China for 189 yuan (approx. Rs. 2,000). For now, there is no word regarding when the company intends to bring this cup to the global markets including India.

Xiaomi Warm Cup Details

Wondering what the Xiaomi Warm Cup is all about? Well, it is a cup with simple functionality. As its name points out, the Warm Cup heats up your drink to a constant temperature of 55-degree Celsius. It is done with the help of a wireless charging tea coaster.

Xiaomi claims that the method is safer for heating the beverage as compared to the practice of conventional wire heating. The cup is made of ceramic and is waterproof, so your drink stays in there as you desire. Moreover, it can be cleaned as you do with any coffee mug but it cannot survive great drops as it is built of ceramic.

It can keep your drink at constantly warm temperature if it is placed on the charging pad but if it does not have any drink, then the up will go into the sleep mode automatically after four hours to save power.

Doubles As 10W Wireless Charger

Talking about the tech twist that the company has added to the Xiaomi Warm Cup, it can double as a wireless charger when you are not using it as a coaster. Once you place your smartphone (of course with wireless charging support), it will charge it as it comes with support for 10W wireless charging. It supports devices from brands such as Xiaomi, Apple, Samsung, and others.

The idea of a cup that can keep drinks at a warm temperature for hours, which can double as a wireless charger is quite interesting. We hope the company brings the Xiaomi Warm Cup along with the others such as the newly launched Xiaomi Fish Tank with an auto knob adjustment and Mi Smart Garbage Bin and others to India.
