ACT Fibernet Offering Netflix Subscription In Jaipur, Guntur
Wired broadband provider ACT Fibernet has announced that all its customers will now get access to Netflix. Earlier, these benefits were available to Delhi and Mumbai customers.
The company has partnered with the popular streaming app, earlier this year. But now, the company has introduced this service in Madurai, Jaipur, Eluru, Guntur, Lucknow, Vijaywada, Warangal, Nellore, Vizag, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, Kakinada, Rajamundry, and Tirupati.
Under this partnership, ACT Fibernet is offering 500 cashback on the latter subscription, if a user pays through its monthly bill. "Our customers will now be able to get Netflix's shows and films on ACT Fibernet's high-speed network connectivity and also be eligible for a cashback of up to Rs. 500 a month," Ravi Karthik, Marketing Head, Atria Convergence Technologies said in a statement.
Apart from that, the company has joined hands with Greater Chennai Corporation to set up WiFi zones in Chennai. This initiative comes under the Smart City project, and it aims to provide free internet to people. In fact, as part of this initiative ACT, Fibernet will set up 25 Wi-Fi zones in the city.
It includes 14 Amma canteens, situated in 15 zones. The company has also revealed that more than 300 users can use the internet simultaneously, under each WiFi zones that will be available in 24X7 to the users. All users can access these free services for 30 minutes at a speed of 20 Mbps.
"ACT Fibernet's vision is to deliver high-speed internet to all citizens and we are extremely privileged to work with the government to bring superfast internet via hotspots to common man," Sandeep Gupta, COO, Atria Convergence Technologies (ACT) said.
Meanwhile, a new report by DigiAnalysys stated that public Wi-Fi is expected to post a seven-fold jump in 2021in India. Besides, there will 1.25 million Wi-Fi hotspots in the panchayats.
