After lots of speculations, leaks, and rumors, the Chinese handset maker Huawei's Honor has officially announced the launch of its next smartphone dubbed as Honor 8. Recently, the Honor 8 has been spotted on TENAA for certification purpose, revealing the specifications of the device.

Just like Honor V8, the so-called Honor 8 is expected to come with dual camera set-up on the back. As per the company, this device will be launched at an event on July 11th in China.

This device is the successor of Honor 7 smartphone that got launched last year globally. However, today we have listed the top features of the Honor smartphone in the below slider. Do have a look.

Form Factor

As per the leaked listings, the Honor 8 measures 7.45mm thickness and weighs around 153grams.


The yet-to-be launched Honor 8 is expected to sport a 5.2-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.


Talking about the hardware, this device might come powered by an Octa-core Kirin 955/ Kirin 950 SoC along with Mali T880-MP4 GPU. Moreover, we are not sure about the chipset as of now.


As per the listing, the Honor 8 is said to come with 4GB RAM under the hood. Also, on the storage front, it might come in three variant -- 32GB/64GB/128GB. Moreover, the listing also suggests that it can be expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot.


So-called Honor 8 will flaunt a 12MP dual camera setup along with dual tone LED flash. On the front, this device equips an 8MP camera for selfies.

Operating system

If the rumor turns out to be true, the Honor 8 is shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on top of EMUI 4.1 out of the box.

Connectivity Options

According to the report, this device will support 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C.
