LeEco Le 1S vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 3: Which one is more value for money?
LeEco has been creating quite some buzz in the smartpohne market in India with its budget 1S. On the other hand, Xiaomi is all set to create ripples in the market with its upcoming Redmi Note 3 that is coming on March 3 in India. Both smartphones pack in impressive features and specifications, which make them great value for money.

Now that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is coming to India, it is obvious that the phone will be compared with the LeEco Le 1S, which has been brought back for purchase after a successful previous sale. The Le 1S has been priced compellingly for Rs 10,999, where as the price of the Xioami Redmi Note 3 is yet to be revealed.

We compare the LeEco Le 1S and the Xioami Redmi Note 3 on the basis of their features and specifications to know which one makes for a more value for money smartphone. Take a look:

The Le 1s dons a full-metal body, whereas most smartphones in its range come with plastic chassis. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 also breaks the monotony, and flaunts a metal-body design. The Le1S has an aircraft grade aluminum uni-body that features a screw-less industrial design, whereas the Redmi Note 3's metal chassis may not have similar build quality, but looks premium. It will be interesting to see which one impresses us when we get our hands on the devices.
LeTV 1S is thin at 7.5mm in comparison to Redmi Note 3 that measures in at 8.65mm. However, LeEco Le 1S weighs slightly heavy at 169grams as compared to Note 3's 164grams.
The Le 1S in available in gold and silver options where as the Redmi Note 3 has gold, silver and dark grey colors options.

Both the phones feature 5.5-inch display with FHD quality offering 1080pixels resolution. It will be difficult to say which phones has a better display in terms of colour, visuals, angles, brightness and other factors.

The Le 1S is powered by the Helio X10 MT6795 Turbo chipset with octa-core clocking at 2.2GHz, while the Redmi Note 3 come with MT6795 clocked at 2.0GHz. Though both smartphones are equally powerful, the turbo edition is slightly faster than the other variant.

The LeEco Le 1S phone features 3GB of RAM, whereas the Redmi Note 3 comes in two variants including a high-end variant with 3GB of RAM. Both smartphones have 32GB of RAM, and lack microSD card support.

Speaking of camera, both the phone adorn 13MP camera sensors with PDAF. LeECo Le 1S comes with single LED flash, whereas the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has a dual LED color temperature flash. On the front, both phones have 5MP snappers.

The LeTV 1S boasts the new age reversible USB Type-C where as the Note 3 comes with a standard connector. The presence of USB Type C makes the Le 1S future ready and gives it an edge over the Note 3.

Both the phones feature fingerprint sensors, placed at the back panel, along with the primary snapper.

Xiaomi's phone incorporates a large 4000mAh capacity battery inside, which in comparison to the 3000mAh batter on the Le 1S is higher. The Xiaomi gets an upper hand in this segment. Though, both phones support fast charging, which mean these phones are charged faster than others.

Both the smartphones run Android 5.1 Lollipop iteration, with their respective UI. The Redmi Note 3 has MIUI 7 and the LeTV 1S has EUI running atop the Android OS.

As far as price is concerned, the LeEco Le 1S has been priced aggressively at Rs 10,999, where as Xiaomi is yet to reveal the pricing details of the Redmi Note 3 in India. Considering that Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was launched for a price of 1099 Yuan ($172) for the 3GB variant, we expect the phone to be priced around Rs 12,000 in India.
