Vivo X300 Pro Tops Our Readers’ 2026 Flagship Wishlist, Leaving OnePlus and Xiaomi Far Behind
It’s not every year that a smartphone lands and instantly dominates the conversation. But that’s exactly what happened with the Vivo X300 Pro after its China launch — and if you took part in our recent Gizbot poll, you’ll know what I mean.
Out of nearly 4,800 votes, 65% of readers chose the X300 Pro as the flagship they’re most excited about. That’s not just a win; it’s a statement. The OnePlus 15 and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max trailed at 19% and 11%, respectively, showing just how confident Indian buyers have become in Vivo’s high-end lineup.

Why Everyone’s Talking About Vivo
The excitement around the X300 Pro didn’t appear overnight. Last year’s Vivo X200 Pro helped the brand shed its “underdog” image with a camera system that genuinely impressed critics. Its ZEISS collaboration brought balanced color science, impressive zoom capability, and low-light performance that felt natural rather than overprocessed.

The X300 Pro continues that legacy. It’s powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500 chip — the company’s most ambitious flagship processor yet — and comes with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. That combination puts it right up against Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered rivals.

But it’s the camera setup that continues to pull people in: a 50MP Sony LYT-828 main sensor, 50MP ultra-wide, and a new 200MP periscope telephoto lens, all co-engineered with ZEISS. Vivo’s in-house V1 and V3+ imaging chips handle real-time processing and tone mapping, allowing for sharp detail even in low light.
And yes, even the 50MP front camera supports ultra-wide framing — a small but appreciated touch for creators and vloggers.
The Software Finally Feels Global
Vivo’s flagships have never struggled with hardware — their Achilles’ heel was always software. For years, global users were stuck with Funtouch OS, a dated and cluttered interface, while China got the far slicker OriginOS. That gap finally closes with OriginOS 6, which now runs on both Chinese and international devices starting with the X300 series.

The new software isn’t flashy, but it fixes what mattered. The Origin Smooth Engine manages resources more intelligently, keeping animations steady and performance consistent even under load. The interface itself feels cleaner, faster, and less noisy — a proper flagship UI that no longer needs a launcher swap on day one.
Small but thoughtful additions like the Origin Island status hub, Flip Card lockscreen, and a secure Private Space make it feel more modern and cohesive. For the first time, Vivo’s software experience finally matches the quality of its hardware — and that might be the most meaningful upgrade of all.

What This Poll Really Says About the Market
Our readers’ votes tell a clear story: buyers are no longer satisfied with flashy hardware alone. They want dependable performance, long-term software support, and cameras that deliver consistency, not just megapixels.
Vivo’s X300 Pro appears to check all those boxes — and if its Indian pricing stays competitive, it could be the brand’s biggest moment yet in the flagship segment.
The smartphone market heading into 2026 is shaping up to be unusually exciting — and for once, it’s not just the usual names leading the conversation.
