Premium Smartphone Shipments Reach Milestone In India: OnePlus Tops The Chart
While most of the Indian users are stuck with cheaper and mid-range smartphones, a section of consumers has aggressively gone after some premium devices, in 2019. If we look at the chart globally, Samsung leads the race as the world's biggest smartphone provider in the high-end category, in 2019. But, going with the figures in India, it's OnePlus which is a clear winner leaving behind Samsung.
To sustain the market firmly in 2019, OnePlus came up with its OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7T, and 7T Pro models-- in a wake to dominate the market with overall sales figures. And, yes the strategy has worked.
Comparatively, the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro stood out victorious taking the overall sales of OnePlus to 35%. Whereas, Samsung with 23% and Apple with 22% lies behind OnePlus.
To recall, both OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro are powered by a Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset. Out of the two, OnePlus 7 ships with a 6.41-inch Optic AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution, dual rear cameras, and a 3,700mAh battery with fast charging support.
On the other hand, we have the 7 Pro which comes with a 6.67-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution, triple rear cameras, and a 4,000 mAh battery capacity.
