The LeEco Le 2 will be powered by Snapdragon 820! Here’s all you need to know!
With the recent launch into the Indian market, LeEco has become sort of a household name in India, thanks to their aggressive marketing and superb pricing. The company launched its budget smartphone - the Le 1S - at a price of just 10,999 rupees.

The Le 1S boasts of specifications like a Helio X10 chipset, 3GB RAM, metal unibody among others. Now, fresh rumors show that this smartphone is bound to have a successor - the Le 2 - quite soon. Here is a rumor roundup of the upcoming LeEco Le 2, successor to the LeEco Le 1S.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 820
Debuting with the company's very own Le Max Pro recently, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 is the processor that might also be powering the upcoming Le 2. A quad-core 64-bit chipset, the Snapdragon 820 is succeeding the infamous flagship Snapdragon 810 processor of 2015. Clocked at 1.8 GHz, the processor will be accompanied by the Adreno 530 GPU for improved graphic performance.
It is also rumored that there will be two variants of the LeEco Le 2 - one with the above-mentioned SD 820 and the other one powered by the Mediatek Helio X20 chipset.
USB Type-C Port
With the world moving towards this new technology for charging and data syncing, LeEco has already adopted the new USB Type-C Port since their previous generation of smartphones. Carrying forward this legacy, the Le 2 leaked photos clearly show that the port does not lose its position this time around. With a reversible connector and fast charging support, the port will help offer better battery performance during regular daily usage.
Fingerprint sensor on the back
Fingerprint sensors on the back panel of a smartphone are very common these days and carrying forward their earlier design, LeEco might be once again putting the mirror-finish fingerprint sensor on the back of the new Le 2 budget smartphone. Located just below the rear camera sensor, the fingerprint sensor is expected to be extremely fast and can unlock the smartphone in 0.4 seconds, when the phone is in sleep mode, and 0.2 seconds when the screen is on.
An upgraded camera sensor
Up from the 13MP sensor on the Le 1S, the LeEco Le 2 is expected to sport a Sony camera module. The camera will have a 21MP sensor and features like Auto Focus, dual-tone LED flash as well as 4K video recording. The front camera is expected to be a decent 8MP sensor for selfies and video calling.

Dual-SIM Support
Great news for multitaskers, the LeEco Le 2 might support dual-SIM cards, with complete 4G LTE support on both of them, just like on the current Le 1S. This means that you can use 4G-compatible SIM cards in both the slots and get speeds up to 200 MBps, on each of them. The smartphone will most probably accept two Nano SIMs (GSM+GSM) where the slot is a pure SIM slot, not a Hybrid one.
Pricing and availability
With only these renders and specifications leaked out of LeEco's warehouses, we are yet to get final confirmation about the pricing and availability of this upcoming smartphone. The price will most probably be similar to the launch price of its predecessor, the Le 1S, and the availability and official launch details are expected to arrive sometime in the coming weeks.
