The Lava Agni 2 5G has officially been unveiled in India. Lava has been teasing the Agni 2 5G for a while now. The Agni 2 5G also debuts as the second 5G smartphone from Lava this year, the first one being the Lava Blaze 1X 5G.

However, unlike its budget smartphone counterpart, the Lava Agni 2 5G will be targeted towards the mid-range, more precisely, the sub-20K segment. The Lava Agni 2 5G will bring several upgrades over its predecessor in the display, chipset, charging, and camera departments.

The Lava Agni 2 price in India is set at Rs 21,999 for the sole 8GB/256GB model. However, Lava is offering an instant discount of Rs 2,000 on the purchase of the Agni 2 5G through a credit and debit card of any 'major' bank.

The Lava Agni 2 5G will go on sale in India exclusively through Amazon from May 24 at 10:00 am. The Lava Agni 2 5G will compete against the likes of the Realme 10 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro, Oppo F23 5G, and Moto G82 5G in India.

Lava Agni 2 5G Specifications

The Lava Agni 2 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Additionally, up to 8GB of unused storage can be utilized as virtual RAM. The Agni 2 5G also features improved cooling and an X-Axis Linear motor for gaming.

The Agni 2 5G sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ Curved AMOLED display with double reinforced glass protection. The screen boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, 105 percent NTSC colour depth, HDR10+ support, and is L1 DRM Widevine certified. The Lava Agni 2 5G also features an in-display fingerprint reader.

For optics, the Lava Agni 2 5G gets a quad-camera setup with a 50 MP camera with 1.0-micron (1um) pixel size sensor, a first for the segment. Lava has not provided any details about the other three cameras, but they will likely include an ultrawide unit, a macro lens, and a depth sensor. Up front, there's a 16 MP selfie camera.

The upcoming 5G Lava smartphone will pack a 4,700 mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. The Agni 2 5G runs on stock Android 13 with Lava promising software updates till Android 15 and three years of security updates. The handset also offers support for 13 5G bands. Lava is also promising a 'free replacement' for the Agni 2 5G during the one-year warranty period.
