Micromax Canvas Infinity to launch today: Watch the live stream

The Micromax smartphone dubbed Canvas Infinity is a flagship device that is slated to be launched at 12:30 PM today. The company has already sent out invites for the launch of the Micromax Canvas Infinity today. The invite reads, "Let's put a number to Infinity. 22.09.2017. Block your date." Micromax will also be live streaming the event that will debut at 12:30 PM today. You can watch the live stream from the tweet below.

It is the first bezel-less smartphone to be launched by the Indian manufacturer. While the details about the smartphone are yet to be known, one aspect that we know is that it will sport a bezel-less design and display similar to the one we saw on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The screen is said to have curved edges with no physical buttons at the front. It is expected to feature on-screen navigation keys.

Following Samsung's footprints, Micromax seems to have reduced the top and bottom bezels to a great extent and eliminated the side bezels completely in order to incorporate a bigger screen in the device. Even LG announced the LG G6 with such a display called FullVision display with an aspect ratio of 18:9.

While the other details about the Canvas Infinity are not known, it is believed to be a high-end device with a Qualcomm processor operating under its hood. The smartphone might feature an all-metal unibody build and feature a high-end premium camera.

With the launch of a bezel-less smartphone, Micromax has the potential to create a buzz in the market that is obsessed by the Chinese manufacturers such as Xiaomi, Oppo and Gionee. The only thing that the company has to play right is in the pricing of the Canvas Infinity to make it competitive.
