New Samsung Galaxy S25+ Renders Show Textured Camera Rings and Slimmer Profile

Samsung's highly anticipated Galaxy S25 series is steadily taking shape with leaked renders surfacing for the Galaxy S25+, alongside previous reveals of the Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra.

The renders, shared by reliable tipster @OnLeaks, give an early look at what to expect from the Plus variant in the upcoming series.

Design: Slimmer, Refined, and Polarizing Camera Setup

The Galaxy S25+ is rumored to retain the flat-sided design seen in previous models, continuing Samsung's aesthetic consistency across its flagship line.

According to CAD-based renders, the device measures 158.4 x 75.7 x 7.3mm, making it slightly thinner than its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Plus, by around 0.4mm. The phone's display is expected to measure around 6.65 to 6.7 inches, featuring noticeably slimmer bezels for a more immersive viewing experience.

One of the more talked-about design changes for the Galaxy S25+ is its camera setup. Like the other models in the series, it features textured camera rings, a design cue borrowed from the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Personally, I'm intrigued by this shift-whether people love it or hate it, it's nice to see Samsung making its flagship phones stand out a bit more, especially compared to their midrange and budget options. It feels like the premium models are finally getting a design that really sets them apart.

Display: LTPO Technology and Adaptive Refresh Rate

The Galaxy S25+ is expected to stick with the same LTPO display technology featured in the Galaxy S24+. This allows the display to dynamically adjust its refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz, balancing smooth performance with energy efficiency.

While the size and technology remain the same as its predecessor, the S25+ may still benefit from further optimizations in power efficiency or display resolution, offering users a highly responsive and vibrant viewing experience.

Processor: Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or Exynos 2500?

Internally, the Galaxy S25+ is expected to feature the yet-to-be-released Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, which should offer notable performance improvements. The device is also expected to come with 12GB of RAM, aligning it with its predecessor in terms of memory specifications.

Storage capacity could see an upgrade this year, with reports suggesting that the Galaxy S25+ may start with 256GB of internal storage, offering users more space for apps, photos, and media.

Battery and Charging: Sticking with the Same Setup

The Galaxy S25+ is expected to carry forward the 4900mAh battery seen in the S24 Plus, suggesting battery life will remain largely unchanged. However, performance gains could still be realized if Samsung introduces more efficient hardware, particularly in the processor and display.

Charging speed is also expected to remain the same, with support for 45W fast charging, meaning the phone should offer a solid mix of battery capacity and charging convenience for most users.

Release Date: Early 2024 Launch Expected

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S25 series around mid-January 2024. Industry insiders speculate that Samsung will hold a dedicated launch event soon after CES 2024, possibly during the week of January 13, following a similar timeline to the Galaxy S24's release last year. Retail availability will likely follow within a week or two after the official announcement.
