Nokia 6 (2018) visits Geekbench with Android 8.0 Oreo ahead of January 5 launch
The Nokia 6 (2018) is in the headlines as the company is teased to unveil this smartphone on January 5 in China. However, there is no sort of confirmation from HMD Global regarding the announcement of the new Nokia 6.

Earlier today we came across the teaser posted by a China-based online retailer Suning and now the smartphone has made its way to the Geekbench benchmarking database via Slashleaks. The benchmark listing as confirmed some of the specifications of the Nokia 6 (2018) those were already making the rounds on the rumors and speculations.
The variant of the Nokia 6 (2018) with the model TA-1054 has been spotted on Geekbench. This model appears to feature an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC clocked at 2.21GHz coupled with 4GB RAM. The smartphone is believed to run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
When it comes to the performance front, the Nokia 6 (2018) has achieved 863 points in the single-core test and 4163 points in the multi-core test. Apart from these, the Geekbench database has not revealed many details about this smartphone. However, the recent TENAA listing has shed more light on the specifications of the upcoming Nokia 6 (2018).
Going by the same, there appear to be two variants of the new Nokia 6 meant for the Chinese and the global markets. When it comes to the specifications, the TENAA listing shows that the device will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat but the Geekbench database tips at Android 8.0 Oreo and we believe the latter makes more sense.
The Nokia 6 (2018) is likely to be launched with a 5.5-inch display with a FHD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and have the conventional aspect ratio of 16:9. The camera department is said to comprise of a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie snapper. The device is expected to get the power from a 3000mAh battery just like its predecessor and arrive in three color variants such as White, Blue, and Black.
While the recent teaser has tipped that the Nokia 6 (2018) could be unveiled on January 5 in China, previous reports have hinted that this smartphone might be launched along with the upcoming flagship smartphone - Nokia 9. However, we cannot take these specs or launch date as the final ones as HMD Global is yet to reveal an official word regarding the same.
