Nokia 6 gets price cut in India; available for Rs. 12,999

HMD Global is expected to launch the Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco in India at the April 4 event. Given that the launch of the next-generation model is highly anticipated in the country, the original Nokia 6 has received a price cut once again. There are other attractive offers as well along with this price cut.

The Nokia 6 was initially launched in India in mid-2017 at Rs. 14,999. The smartphone was launched as an Amazon exclusive model while the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 were offline exclusive models at first. Later, the Nokia 6 received a price cut of Rs. 1,500 taking it down to Rs. 13,499. Now, the Amazon India listing shows that the smartphone has received yet another price cut. This time, the price cut is Rs. 500 and the smartphone is available for Rs. 12,999.

Notably, the online retailer is offering other attractions such as EMI payment options starting from Rs. 618 per month and up to Rs. 10,711 exchange offer based on the model of the smartphone you exchange for the Nokia 6. Also, there is one-year accident, liquid and screen protection for Rs. 739 and one-year extended warranty for Rs. 749.

To refresh, the Nokia 6 adorns a 5.5-inch IPS LCD 2.5D glass display with the Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is equipped with an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with Adreno 505, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage space. There is a microSD card slot supporting up to 128GB of expandable storage space.

On the optics front, the Nokia 6 flaunts a 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and dual-tone flash. At the front, there is an 8MP sensor with a similar f/2.0 aperture and 84-degree wide-angle lens. The smartphone comes with support for OTG, a micro USB 2.0 port, 4G LTE, dual SIM support and more. It was launched with Android 7.1.1 Nougat and has received the Android 8.1 Oreo update.

A 3000mAh battery powers the Nokia 6 offering up to 32 days of standby time, up to 18 hours of talk time and up to 22 hours of music playback time. It has features such as a smart amplifier chip (TFA9891) and Dolby Technology Dolby Atmos speakers. The Nokia 6 is available in different colors such as Colors Arte Black (limited edition), Tempered Blue, Matte Black, and Copper.
