Nokia 9.1 PureView Launch Pushed To Q2 2020: Report
Nokia 9.1 PureView was expected to be launched by the end of 2019. But the latest reports state that the smartphone will not launch till Q2 2020. The Nokia 9.1 PureView, as the name suggests, is the successor to the Nokia 9 PureView launched earlier this year.
Nokia 9.1 PureView Launch Postponed
Nokia, owned by HMD Global, generally announces its fresh crop of smartphones at the Mobile World Congress, held during the first quarter of every year. The latest report from Nokia anew states that Nokia may not announce the 9.1 PureView during the 2020 MWC. So far, the insider has not furnished any reason behind the delay.

The Nokia 9 PureView is the company's flagship product. But it was still packed with a Snapdragon 845 chipset, instead of the latest Snapdragon 855 chip that is found on most flagship smartphones this year. In comparison, the upcoming Nokia 9.1 PureView may pack a Snapdragon 865 chipset.
Nokia 9.1 PureView Expected Features
The first leak of the Nokia 9.1 PureView surfaced back in July. At that time, HMD Global was prepping with the Light's camera technology for the reported Nokia 9.1 PureView. Some of the expected features of the smartphone are better videography and improved low-light performance. The smartphone is believed to run the Android One edition of Android 10 and might feature a punch-hole display.
The Nokia 9 PureView was priced Rs. 49,999 when it was launched. As a premium flagship smartphone, it was the most expensive Nokia smartphone released in India. However, given the number of delays for the upcoming Nokia 9.1 PureView, it's hard to predict its price. The gadget is also expected to support 5G connectivity.
Smartphones Supporting 5G
Smartphones supporting 5G are increasing in number. Nokia itself is rumored to be working on the Nokia 8.2 5G smartphone. Some of the smartphones with 5G compatibility are Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G, LG V50 ThinQ, and more. Other smartphone manufacturers like Huawei and Samsung are also launching their 5G smartphones.
