Nokia 9 was speculated to be unveiled at the MWC 2018 tech show along with the other smartphones. However, the device did not make its way into the market. Since the past few days, we have been coming across reports regarding the Nokia 9 suggesting that the smartphone is in the making and could be unveiled later this year.
A day after the key specifications of the Nokia 9 were revealed by a leaked spec sheet spotted on a Finnish website, a video of the alleged smartphone has been uploaded on YouTube. It is claimed to be an official video and shows the smartphone from all angles. The major focus of this video is the 41MP triple-lens DSLR camera at the rear of the Nokia 9.
If you aren't aware, the previous report we came across yesterday was based on a leaked render of the Nokia 9. The render featured a similar design as seen in this video. And, the Nokia 9 features a triple-lens rear camera setup from Zeiss. Well, you read it right. According to these reports, there will be three sensors on the Nokia 9 - a 41MP wide-angle sensor, a 20MP telephoto sensor and a 9.7MP monochrome sensor.
This triple-lens camera module is also believed to arrive with Optical Image Stabilization, 4x optical zoom and Bothie feature, which was introduced along with the Nokia 8. At the front, the smartphone might use a 21MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/1.8.
The video shows the triple-lens camera module in which the three sensors are positioned vertically at the top center of the rear panel. And, the dual-tone LED flash module appears to be positioned next to the camera arrangement in a vertical manner.
Besides this, the video also shows the glossy rear finish and the bezel-less design of the smartphone with a narrow chin at the bottom sans the home button. So, there is a possibility for the Nokia 9 to have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Notably, we had come across reports suggesting that the Nokia 9 could arrive with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Based on the previous reports, the Nokia 9 is expected to flaunt a 6.01-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The aspect ratio is believed to be 18:9 as it is a major smartphone from the company. On the hardware front, the smartphone might be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and a whopping storage capacity of 256GB. The other aspects include Android 8.1 Oreo and a 3900mAh battery with support for wireless charging.
