OnePlus 15 First Look: India CEO Shows Off Design at Snapdragon Summit Goa
The OnePlus 15 isn’t a mystery anymore. First, it popped up at the Snapdragon Summit in China, and now it’s been shown off in India too. Robin Liu, OnePlus India’s CEO, gave us a glimpse of the phone during the Snapdragon Summit in Goa, and we’ve got some early thoughts on how it looks.

The Design Feels Familiar
The unit Liu showcased was in a white finish that’s rumored to be called “Sand Dune.” It does look clean, but we couldn’t help noticing how much it resembles the OnePlus 13s. The squircle camera island in the top right, the vertical alignment of the three sensors plus flash — all of it feels like a direct nod to the compact flagship that launched earlier this year.

Compared to the OnePlus 13, though, the changes are clear. The edges are more curved, and this time the display is completely flat. Gone is the micro quad-curved design from the 13, which some users may welcome for practicality.
One more big shift: there’s no Hasselblad branding this time. OnePlus is betting fully on its in-house DetailMax engine for image processing. Whether this move pays off is something we’ll only know after testing it in detail.
First Impressions
Personally, I prefer the look of the OnePlus 13 (read our review). The OnePlus 15’s design feels decent but doesn’t stand out to me just yet. The vegan leather variant of the OnePlus 13 felt great in-hand and added a bit of personality, and it looks like OnePlus isn’t offering anything similar for the 15. And as someone who’s always been a sucker for circular camera modules, this rectangular island doesn’t hit the same note.

Still, these are just first impressions. I’ll need to see it up close and hold it before giving a final verdict.
Specs Are Already Out
If design isn’t the main draw for you, the complete specifications are already public. The OnePlus 15 comes with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a 165Hz flat display, a 7,300mAh Glacier Battery with 120W wired charging, and a triple 50MP camera system. We’ve covered all of that in detail here.
