OnePlus 15 Full Specifications and Design Revealed: India Launch Confirmed
OnePlus isn’t holding back on its next flagship. Ahead of the October launch in China, the company has revealed almost everything about the OnePlus 15, including the chipset, display, battery, and camera setup.
What makes this more interesting is that teasers for India have already started rolling out, confirming the phone will arrive here soon after its Chinese debut.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Gaming Focus
At the heart of the OnePlus 15 is Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The phone will come in multiple configurations, going up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
OnePlus is also adding its Fengchi Gaming Core 2.0, an in-house optimization engine aimed at making the phone handle demanding games more smoothly. Combined with the new chip, it’s clear the company is positioning this device as one of its most performance-driven flagships yet.
A 165Hz Display With Ultra-Thin Bezels
The OnePlus 15 uses a 6.78-inch BOE X3 LIPO 2.5D display with a 1.5K resolution, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ support. It’s an LTPO panel with an adaptive refresh rate that scales between 1Hz and 165Hz.
Brightness peaks at 1,800 nits globally and 1,000 nits manually, with 2,160Hz PWM dimming at lower brightness and extra DC-like dimming modes for eye comfort. You also get HDR Vivid and Pro XDR enhancements for more dynamic range. The bezels measure just 1.15mm, giving the phone a clean, flat-edged look.
A Bigger Battery and Faster Charging
The OnePlus 15 packs a 7,300mAh third-generation “Glacier Battery,” rated to retain at least 80 percent of its capacity even after 1,600 charge cycles. Charging speeds go up to 120W wired and 50W wireless, keeping it competitive with the fastest-charging phones around.
Triple-Camera Setup
The rear setup includes three cameras, all with optical image stabilization on the main and telephoto lenses:
- 50MP Ultra-wide (0.6x): 15mm Samsung JN5, f/2.0
- 50MP Wide (1x): 23mm Sony LYT-808, f/1.6 with OIS
- 50MP Telephoto (3.5x): 80mm Samsung JN5, f/2.8 with OIS
This combination gives the OnePlus 15 flexibility for wide landscapes, standard shots, and zoom photography.
Other Features
The phone carries plenty of extras beyond the main hardware:
- Single-point ultrasonic under-screen fingerprint reader
- Next-generation wet touch algorithm (for usability with damp fingers)
- Large-volume bionic vibration motor
- Multi-function IR remote
- Next-generation cooling system
- Full NFC support
- Ultra-linear dual speakers
- USB 3.2 Gen1 (5Gbps transfer speeds)
- IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance
It will be offered in three colors—Purple, Titanium, and Black—and in five storage variants starting at 12GB + 256GB and going up to 16GB + 1TB.
India Launch Confirmed
OnePlus India has already started teasing the device, confirming that the OnePlus 15 will arrive by late 2025, likely in November or December. That’s earlier than the OnePlus 13, which launched in January this year (the company is skipping the number 14).
Alongside the flagship, the OnePlus Ace 6 is also expected in China, which may come to India as the OnePlus 15R.
