Realme C2 Update Starts Rolling Out In India: Changelog, Bug Fixes And More

Realme C2, the affordable smartphone from the company, which was launched along with the Realme 3 Pro earlier this year has received a new update. Launched with ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie, the smartphone was already announced by the company to be a part of the Android 10 update roadmap.

Back in September this year, Realme started rolling out the Android 9 Pie-based RMX1941EX_11_A.17 along with the security patch for September 2019. This update brought the redesigned notification center interface and digital wellbeing to the Realme C2.

Following the same, Realme has started rolling out the RMX1941EX_11_A.18 update with the October security patch. This update brings updated charging animation, system-wide Dark Mode, Realme laboratory with a downward swipe on the home screen to bring the notification center among others. In the notification center and status bar, the update brings added fast switch toggles between SIMs in the notification center, removed the prompt while rooted, and removed a reminder after hotspot is enabled.

Realme has announced that it will roll out the update in phases and it will be pushed randomly to a specific set of users. The broader rollout of the update will happen in the next few days for all the Realme C2 users. Before the wider rollout, the company will ensure that there are no critical bugs and issues with the update. So, Realme C2 users can expect to get the update anytime in the coming days.

The Realme C2 comes with 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM and 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM and these are priced Rs. 5,999 and Rs. 7,999. Now, there are some additional discounts and offers as a part of the Flipkart Diwali sale.

Realme C2 is one of the affordable smartphones in the country. As the device has received an update, it shows the commitment of the company in rolling out timely updates. Now, the next big thing for Realme is rolling out Android 10-based updates to its offerings. There is already a confirmation from the company that the Realme smartphones will get a tweaked version of ColorOS 7.0 with a near-stock Android interface.
