Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5 sale in India will take place on August 14: Report

Samsung recently confirmed that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are launching at the company's upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on July 26. Customers can also begin pre-reserving Samsung's upcoming foldable smartphones on the company's official website.

However, information as to when the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 will become available is still under wraps. However, a recent report by 91mobiles Hindi cites company insiders, who have revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 will go on sale in India from August 14.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5 Launch, Availability

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event is taking place in India and globally on July 26 at 04:30 pm (IST). The event will be held in Seoul, South Korea for the first time and will be streamed on the company's official website and YouTube handle.

Samsung will showcase the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Watch 6 Series, and Galaxy Tab S9 Series at the event. Samsung has already opened pre-bookings for the upcoming products that will be unveiled at the next Galaxy Unpacked event.

If 91mobiles Hindi reporting is to be believed, the upcoming Galaxy foldable smartphones will go on sale in India nearly two and a half weeks after the devices are unveiled. According to the report, the information comes courtesy of a leading Samsung retail partner who has been "associated with the company for a long time."

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Specifications (Expected)

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to feature a custom-developed "Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy" SoC. It will be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 will run on Android 13 out of the box with the One UI skin on top.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 will sport a main 7.6-inch foldable AMOLED display when unfolded. It will feature an LTPO panel with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 will also feature a 6.2-inch AMOLED cover screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is said to have improved camera sensors, including a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10 MP telephoto camera. Regarding battery capacity, the device is rumored to house a 4400mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging and 25W wireless charging.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Specifications (Expected)

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 will use the same chip as the Z Fold 5. The chipset will be paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 will also pack a 3,700 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 will run Android 13 out of the box with One UI 5.1 on top.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 will sport a 6.7-inch FHD+ LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will also feature a large 3.6-inch HD AMOLED cover display, the largest on the Z Flip smartphones to date. For optics, Samsung's upcoming Flip smartphone will feature a dual-camera setup with a 12 MP primary sensor with OIS and a 12 MP ultrawide unit.
