Xiaomi 18 Pro Max Camera Specs Tipped Ahead of Launch: Dual 200MP Cameras, LOFIC HDR 3.0, and More
The Xiaomi 18 series is still months away, but early leaks are already giving a rough idea of where things might be headed. While the lineup is expected to include multiple models, attention is starting to move toward the Pro Max variant.

From what’s being reported, Xiaomi could be putting more weight on camera hardware this time, especially at the top end.
A Different Approach To Camera Setup
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is testing an engineering unit of the 18 Pro Max with a new camera system.
The main sensor is said to be a 200-megapixel unit with a relatively large 1/1.28-inch size. It’s reportedly built on a 22nm process, which could help manage heat and power usage better while still pushing high-resolution output.
What stands out more is the telephoto camera. It’s also being tested with a 200-megapixel sensor, which would make this a dual 200MP setup. The telephoto lens is said to support macro photography and use a wider aperture, which could help bring in more light and detail.
HDR And Low-Light Still A Priority
The leak also points to support for LOFIC HDR 3.0 on the main camera. The goal here is fairly straightforward, better dynamic range, especially in tricky lighting where highlights and shadows are both present.
There’s also mention of high frame gain, which is meant to improve clarity in low-light conditions. These aren’t entirely new directions, but they suggest Xiaomi is continuing to refine how its cameras handle everyday scenarios.
More Than Just Cameras
A few other details have surfaced alongside the camera leak. The phone could feature a display around 6.8 inches, along with a secondary screen on the back.
Battery capacity is tipped to be close to 7,500mAh, which would place it on the higher side compared to most flagship devices.
As for the broader lineup, the Xiaomi 18 series is expected to include standard and Pro variants, likely powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip.
Still Early Days
It’s worth keeping in mind that these details are based on early testing units. Things can change before the final launch.
That said, the direction seems fairly clear. Xiaomi could be leaning harder into camera hardware again, especially if the dual 200MP setup makes it to the final product.
