Black Shark, a Chinese company backed by Xiaomi is all set to come up with its first gaming smartphone today. We have already come across a few reports revealing the key aspects of this smartphone. Now, ahead of its announcement, a leaked video has emerged online showing what appears to be the real Black Shark gaming smartphone.
A recent Weibo post has revealed a video showing the front and rear design of the smartphone. The images taken from the leaked video reveals hints that the device from Black Shark will have rounded corners. The design at the front suggests that there will an elongated display. It remains to be known if it will have 18:9 or 16:9 display.
Though these photos do not reveal the display's aspect ratio, the leaked AnTuTu listing of the device hints at the presence of a FHD+ display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9.
The leaked image tips that the Black Shark gaming smartphone from Xiaomi will be comfortable for one-handed usage. There appear to be slim bezels at the sides and relatively thicker bezels at the top and bottom. At the bottom bezel, we can see the presence of a physical home button embedded with a fingerprint sensor.
According to the previous reports, the Xiaomi Black Shark smartphone is said to retain some of the core MIUI features. Adhering to the same, the video shows that the icons are similar to those of MIUI. This tips that the smartphone runs a customized MIUI version.
Bluetooth gaming controller
Besides the smartphone, the video also shows a box in the background and image on it resembles a Bluetooth gaming controller. This controller could be attached to the smartphone to enjoy an immersive gaming experience in the landscape mode. One of the earlier leaks shows the smartphone with the Bluetooth gaming controller connected to its top.
The design at the rear of the alleged gaming smartphone from Xiaomi appears to be sporty and unique. It features dual cameras positioned horizontally at its rear with an LED flash at the top left corner.
Based on the earlier reports, we can expect the Black Shark gaming smartphone to get the power from a Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage space or 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage space. The device is said to have a display with a high refresh rate and fast charging feature too.
In a related report, the online retailer JD.com in China is said to be the official sales and promotional partner of Black Shark for three years. The reservations for the Black Shark gaming phone has already started. The official sale of the smartphone will debut on April 20.
In the current market scenario, there are not many gaming smartphones. If Xiaomi Black Shark comes with an attractive pricing, it has an increased possibility to grab the attention of the gaming enthusiasts.
