Xiaomi MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM 7.9.21 is available for download

Xiaomi announced the launch of the latest iteration of its interface - MIUI in July along with the Mi 5X smartphone. It has been two months since the launch of the MIUI 9 and the company is gradually rolling out the update to all its devices since then.

Now, Xiaomi has started rolling out the beta ROM 7.9.21 of the MIUI 9 for a slew of its devices. We have already seen that the stable version MIUI 9 will be available by October end. This Global Beta version 7.9.21 comes with bug fixes for several issues those were existing in the UI. To be specific, according to the official MIUI forum, this update will bring the following changes.

• Fix for the long press of soft buttons that lead to FC issues.
• Fix in sorting contacts for the Russian language.
• Fix for the issue in which recently used pictures were automatically rotated.

Before updating to the MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM 7.9.21, make sure you backup the data on your smartphone. If your device runs MIUI 5, MIUI 6, MIUI 7 or MIUI 8 stable ROM, do upgrade to the MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM using the fastboot method. If your device runs on the MIUI 8 Global Beta ROM, then you need to head to the Updater and check for the update.

The MIUI 9 update is known to bring new features including the smart app launcher, smart assistant, image search, and several other UI optimizations. The MIUI 9 beta ROM 7.9.21 is available for a slew of Xiaomi devices including Redmi Note 4/ Note 4X, Mi 6, Mi Note 2, Mi Note, Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Mi Max 2, Mi Max, Mi Max Prime, Mi 2, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi 4i, Redmi 4/ Redmi 4X, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 3, Redmi 3, Redmi 3S, Redmi 2 and Redmi 2 Prime.
