Now, it looks like the second wave of Xiaomi devices has started receiving the MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM. The company has confirmed this information via a blog post on the official MIUI forums. The devices that will get the Beta version of MIUI 9 Global ROM include the Mi Mix, Mi Note 2, Mi Max, Mi Max 2, Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Redmi 4 and Redmi 4x.

Xiaomi is in the process of testing the MIUI OS by including tweaks to it in order to ensure that it is optimized for all the devices. When the Global Beta ROM is rolled out to the third and last batch of devices, the software engineers at Xiaomi will ensure that they resolve all the issues that the users face before rolling out the stable version of the update.

Notably, Xiaomi points out that the recommendation rate for the MIUI 9 is 94.62% as per a poll that was conducted. MIUi 9 is the recent iteration of the Xiaomi's interface. It is a customized version of Android that is seen on the smartphones and devices from Xiaomi.

The MIUI 9 is based on Android 7.0 Nougat and interested users can visit the blog post to download the same on their device. Notably, it is not the final stable version of the update but just a Global Beta version. Remember that you should go ahead with the manual installation of the update only if you are comfortable and aware of the procedure. Also, you should take a backup of the device before continuing with the process.
