Xiaomi Redmi 5, 5A and 5 Plus storage and color options leaked on Twitter

Xiaomi is gearing up to bring its next generation of entry-level Redmi smartphones in the market soon. According to reports, the company will likely introduce Redmi 5A, Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus smartphones. So if you are a Xiaomi fan or just a regular consumer then you might have something to look forward to.

Having said that, these new smartphones will certainly come with better specifications and design compared to the Redmi 4 variants that currently hold the title of being the most popular devices from the company in the market.
While we are waiting for the official word from the company, some specifications details of the upcoming Redmi 5 series smartphones have just been leaked on Twitter. And the leak comes from popular tipster Roland Quandt.

As per his post, Redmi 5A will come with 16GB storage and the phone will be available in Rose Gold, Gold, Black and Grey color options. As for the Redmi 5, it comes with will be available in 16 and 32GB storage variants and will come in Gold and Black color options.

Finally, talking about the Redmi 5 Plus, this smartphone will come in two storage variants that include a 32GB variant and a 64GB one and it will be offered in Gold Black and Grey color options. However, that is all we can make out from his post.

Previous rumors and leaks have suggested that Redmi 5A is likely to come with a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) display along with three capacitive buttons, quad-core Snapdragon 427 SoC, Android 7.1.2 Nougat with MIUI 9 on the top, 3000mAh battery and 13MP primary camera at the back and a 5MP selfie shooter at the front.

Also, the Redmi 5 Plus is expected to feature an impressive display close to the one that we saw on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. The previous reports point out that the Redmi 5 Plus might sport a 5.7-inch display with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels, Snapdragon 450 SoC, 13MP dual cameras at its rear. The device is expected to be backed by a capable battery with support for Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0.

There are few details about the Redmi 5 model but we are expecting to see some more leak pop up in the coming days. In any case, Xiaomi is expected to release all the three phones later this month.
