Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sales reach 5 million in 6 months in India
Xiaomi adds another feature to Redmi Note 4’s cap.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is well known for the record-breaking sales that it has achieved. Recently, we saw that it is the best selling smartphone in the sub-Rs. 10,000 price bracket surpassing the Samsung Galaxy J2 in the second quarter of this year.

According to Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 4's cap gets another feature as it has witnessed a record-breaking sales figure in the country. The company's lead product manager Jai Mani has taken to Twitter to announce that they have sold 5 million units of the Redmi Note 4 in six months of its launch.
Soon after its launch earlier this year, the Redmi Note 4 proved to be a best-seller than its predecessor as the device crossed one million units of sale in just 45 days. The success of the smartphone is due to its affordable price tag starting from Rs. 9,999 and un-compromisable specs that had led to a strong demand for the same. The flash sales model has contributed to the surge in the demand.

Previously, Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi's India head announced that the company is in plans to sell around 7 million units of the smartphone this year. Within six months, the device has reached 5 million units of sale showing that Xiaomi will be able to meet the target well in advance.
Besides the pre-orders and flash sales that happen every week, for three days ending today, the Redmi Note 4 is available on open sale as a part of the Flipkart's Big Freedom Sale along with a discount of Rs. 1,000 and no cost EMI offer. Also, the Redmi Note 4 in India have started receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update adding new features to the smartphone. However, Flipkart's open sale will include only the 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB variants priced at Rs. 10,999 and Rs. 12,999 and not the base model priced at Rs. 9,999 with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage.
