    It's hard to ignore Indian handset market, especially, when other mature markets have started to become saturated. According to a report by Gartner, smartphone sales in India increased by 166.8% making it the world's fastest growing smartphone market in the last quarter of 2013.


    To be precise, Lenovo launched its first big-ticket handset, the Vibe Z, in Indian market earlier this week. The Android-powered handset is priced at Rs. 35,999.

    Other than Lenovo, India's homegrown player managed to grab attention by coming up with a smartphone with a   4,000mAh battery fitted inside. The Canvas Power A96 is now available through company's own online store.

    Japanese tech titan Panasonic made a grand entry in the feature handset market with two phones. These handsets come dubbed as EZ180 and EZ240 and will cost Rs. 1,350 and Rs. 1,790 respectively.

    Xolo, best known for its mid-range handsets, introduced a new smartphone in India market. Priced at Rs. 14,999, the Xolo Q1100 will rival the Moto G and Micromax Canvas Turbo Mini A200.

    Last but not the least, Hewlett-Packard (HP) finally goes official with its new range of VoiceTabs. The 6-inch phablet, Slate 6 VoiceTab, seems to be more close to a size of smartphone, rather than a tablet. The Android-powered 3G voice-calling device has been priced at Rs. 22,990 in India.

    On the other hand, the Panasonic EZ180 comes with a smaller 1.8 inch display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels, VGA rear camera, dual SIM, Internal storage of 32 MB expandable up to 16 GB via micro SD card, 32 MB of RAM, Bluetooth, 1000 mAh battery and will be offered in Blue, White and Grey color variants. Both handsets will cost you under Rs. 2,000.
