PUBG Addiction Claims Another Life; Youth Dies After Consuming Chemical Instead Of Water
PUBG, the FPS mobile game became an instant hit following its launch. The game has over 100 million+ downloads on the PlayStore and has hooked numerous users all across the country. But, the game has garnered more attention for addiction. Reports of users dying while playing PUBG have been a major concern. And it seems that it isn't going to stop any time soon.
Apparently, PUBG addiction has claimed another life in India. The deceased, identified as Saurabh Yadav is the latest victim of PUBG related death. Yadav who worked as a parking lot attendant was traveling along with one of his friends called Santosh Sharma to Agra.
Sharma who deals in jewelry was traveling with a bag filled with chemicals used for cleaning and polishing ornaments. The GRP (government railway police) revealed that both Yadav and Sharma were traveling with a common bag filled with their essentials.
The report further reveals that Sharma who deals in jewelry was carrying chemicals to clean and polish ornaments in the bag. The accident happened when Yadav drank the liquid chemical mistaking it for water.
He was so engrossed in playing PUBG that he accidentally drank the ornaments cleaning chemical instead of water. Soon after, his health started deteriorating. According to Vijay Singh, in-charge GRP station, Agra Cantt railway station, revealed that Yadav collapsed new Morena, a town that falls between Agra and Gwalior.
After the incident was reported, Yadav's body was sent for post-mortem and families of both the Sharma and Yadav were informed. This is not the first time that the PUBG addiction has taken a toll.
Back in September this year, a 16-year old boy left his home after getting scolded by parents for PUBG addiction. This happened just a few days after a 21-year old boy beheaded his father in Karnataka for not allowing him to play the game.
