Instagram, Facebook Down Across The Globe On Thanksgiving
Instagram and Facebook are some of the most used social media platforms across the globe. These services are being used to share photos and messages and with friends and family. Both of these social media platforms are currently owned by Facebook, Inc. and currently, both services are facing some issues on the day of Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving is one of the main festivities that is celebrated across the globe with friends and family. It looks like the servers are unable to handle posts and photos published on this occasion, which has caused a global outage of these services. Instagram has affirmed the same using Twitter.
Hashtags such as InstagramDown and FacebookDown are currently trending on Twitter. In a post, Instagram confirms that the company is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing Facebook’s family of apps, including Instagram. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible. #InstagramDown

What Caused This Issue?
One of the reasons could be the overwhelming amount of posts and photos published concurrently might have consumed the service capacity resulting into this outage. However, Facebook claims that there was an issue with the central software system that has caused this ruckus.
What Are The Issues?
Users across the globe are unable to post pictures and posts on Facebook and Instagram. Some people are also facing issues on Facebook Messenger as well. Some users are also facing issues with viewing stories on Instagram and Facebook.
What Can You Do?
Being an end-user, there is nothing that one can do to fix the issue. Some might suggest to uninstall and reinstall the app. However, as this is a server-based issue, it might just use an additional amount of internet with no positive outcomes.
Wait patiently until Facebook fixes the issue, as this is not the first time a major social media has gone rogue. The company should fix this issue in the next few hours and the service is likely to resume its operation like nothing has happened.
