Huawei MediaPad Pro Powered By Kirin 990 SoC Unveiled

Huawei has launched its latest flagship tablet -- the MediaPad Pro in China. This is one of the most powerful Android tablets available in the market which does look a lot similar to the Apple iPad Pro. This is also one of the first tablets to embrace a punch-hole notch at the top of the display to offer an almost bezel-less design.

Huawei MediaPad Pro Features And Specifications

The Huawei MediaPad Pro is fitted with a 10.8-inch display with QHD+ resolution, protected by a 2.5D curved tempered glass. The screen offers over 90 percent screen-to-body ratio with a 4.9mm slim frame across the panel.

The tablet is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 990 SoC with 6/8GB RAM and 128/256/512GB onboard storage and an NM Card slot for additional storage expansion. The Huawei MediaPad Pro offers custom EMUI 10.0.1 skin on top of Android 10 OS. As the availability of the tablet is limited to China, it does not include GPS (google play services).

The device has a 13MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture lens and an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens. It is fitted with four Harman Kardon-certified speakers that support Huawei Histen sound effect. The Wi-Fi-only model supports dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11/ac and there is an LTE model with support for 4G VoLTE and Wi-Fi.

A massive 7,250 mAh battery runs the show with support for 40W wired fast charging and 15W wireless fast charging. Plus, the device is also capable of reverse fast charging at 7.5W.

Price And Availability

The Huawei MediaPad Pro will be available in Orange, Green, White, and Grey colors and here are the pricing details. All four models will go on sale from December 12 in China. Besides, the company is also working on a 5G variant of the MediaPad Pro, which will be made available in Q1 2020.
