Jio Rs. 149 All-in-One Plan Makes A Comeback To Counter Airtel, Vodafone Idea
Following Airtel and Vodafone Idea, Reliance Jio also came up with the new and revised All-in-One plans. These plans came into effect starting from December 6, 2019 and start from Rs. 199. Now, Jio has relaunched the Rs. 198 All-in-One prepaid plan with limited benefits to make it attractive for subscribers looking for relatively low-cost plans.
Jio Rs. 149 All-in-One Plan
Well, Reliance Jio's Rs. 149 recharge plan has made a comeback but there are reduced validity and data benefits. Going by the new pricing, the Rs. 149 prepaid plan will provide 1GB data per day for a validity of 24 days instead of 28 days as before.
On comparing the data benefits, this Jio recharge plan was bundled with 1.5GB data per day. As it is an All-in-One recharge plan, it bundles 300 minutes of calls from Jio to other networks.
Jio Rs. 98 Recharge Plan
For those who need uncompromising validity, Reliance Jio is still offering the Rs. 98 prepaid plan. This plan provides users with 2GB of data all throughout the validity period of 28 days. It lets users make free calls between Jio numbers and charges them 6 paise per minute for calls made to other networks. So, those who want to make off-network calls without paying the additional amount can get the Rs. 10 recharge done.
What About Competition?
Though the validity has been reduced, the Rs. 149 prepaid plan from Jio remains to be the cheapest 4G plan to be bundled with daily data benefits and free off-network calling minutes as compared to rivals such as Airtel and Vodafone Idea.
On comparing the Rs. 149 All-in-One plan with similar recharge packs from rivals, Airtel offers 1GB data per day for a period of 28 days for Rs. 219. The one advantage of this plan is that it offers truly unlimited voice calls to any network without any additional cost.
Also, Vodafone's Rs. 249 recharge pack provides benefits such as 1.5GB of daily data and unlimited voice calls to any network sans an additional charge for a validity period of 28 days. However, these plans are relatively more expensive making them suitable only for those who make a lot of voice calls to other networks.
