Reliance Jio 4G Data Speeds are Very Low Compared to the Competition: TRAI Data

Touted as the LTE-only network in India, Reliance Jio is failing to live up to the expectations. According to the latest TRAI speed report, the new entrant is trumped by the competition.

After the grand launch couple of months ago, Reliance Jio is still a sensation in the country. Late yesterday, the company announced that they are reducing the welcome offer validity to December 3.

Reliance Jio 4G is the Slowest 4G Service in India According to TRAI

Earlier today, a new report from TRAI popped online showing the network speeds of the new entrant and compared them with other telecoms as well. With a huge increase in the user base, the Jio download and upload speeds have faded away after opening the service to general public.

At the time of 'Preview Offer', the speeds are impeccable, however, that speeds are no more. Users are struggling to get good download speed even after the signal reception is good and they are ending up in trying various speed increase hacks.

Reliance Jio 4G is the Slowest 4G Service in India According to TRAI

The same is reported by TRAI as well. To recall, TRAI launched their own website- TRAI MySpeed Portal to track and record the speed of various telecom operators. And, the website reports that Reliance Jio is the slowest 4G network in India.

Furthermore, the report states that Reliance Jio stands in the fifth position, just above the Aircel. And, Airtel leads the list followed by Idea, Vodafone, and Reliance. It is disappointing to see that Jio is dominated by the RComm as well, which is a bit of a letdown.

Although these speeds aren't reliable as well because the application just collects the data from all the speed tests conducted across the country and displays them. So, this data may not be reliable as well.
