Huawei Watch GT 2 Launched In India Starting From Rs. 14,990

As promised by the company, the Huawei Watch GT 2 was launched in India today. Announced back in September this year, this new smartphone comes as the sequel to the Huawei Watch GT. The highlight of the latest generation model is its long-lasting battery touted to deliver two weeks of battery life.

Like the other smartwatches and fitness bands in the market, the Huawei Watch GT 2 also comes with stress monitoring, sleep tracking, and heart-rate monitoring among others. The new smartwatch sports an AMOLED display and two dial sizes.

Huawei Watch GT 2 Price And Availability

Huawei Watch GT 2 has been launched in 42mm and 46mm dial sizes. There is a range of straps and case colors for buyers to choose from. The 46mm Sport (Black) and 46mm Leather Sport variants are priced at Rs. 15,990 and Rs. 17,990. On the other hand, the 46mm Titanium Gray (Metal) is the most expensive offering priced at Rs. 21,990. The 42mm variant is available only in Black and is priced at Rs. 14,990.

Those who choose to prebook the Huawei Watch GT 2 between December 12 and December 18 will get a pair of Huawei Freelace earphones worth Rs. 6,999 for free. The 46mm variants of the smartwatch will go on sale on December 19 at midnight. Between December 19 and December 31, early-bird buyers of the smartwatch will get a chance to win a Huawei Minispeaker priced at Rs. 2,999. Interestingly, there is no cost EMI too on this smartwatch.

Huawei Watch GT 2 Specifications

The 42mm variant of the Huawei Watch GT 2 sports a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 390 x 390 pixels while the bigger 46mm variant sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels.

The other difference is in terms of battery as the 42mm variant is powered by a 215mAh battery touted to deliver 7 days of battery life while the 455mAh battery in the 46mm variant supports 14 days of battery life.

Apart from this, both variants support Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, up to 5ATM water resistance, and a slew of sensors. The Huawei Watch GT 2 draws the power from the company's inbuilt Kirin A1 SoC designed for wearable devices. There is a speaker on the smartwatch to answer calls directly.

Our Take On Huawei Watch GT 2

Given that the Huawei Watch GT 2 is priced starting from Rs. 14,990, we can say that it will compete against rivals in a similar price segment. However, we will be able to comment on its performance only after having our hands on the smartwatch.
