Infinix Band 5 Launched With IP67 Rating: Price, Specifications And More
After launching a slew of smartphones of late, Infinix has come up with a fitness band. Well, the Infinix Band 5 has been launched in India as the sequel to the XBand 3, which went official earlier this year. Being an upgraded model, the latest wearable from the company has improved features such as a colorful IPS display and a waterproof rating.
Infinix Band 5 has been launched in three color options such as Black, Blue, and Red. The fitness band is priced at Rs. 1,799 and is available via Flipkart. Notably, even its predecessor, the Infinix XBand 3 is available for purchase via the e-commerce portal for Rs. 1,599.
Infinix Band 5 Details
Talking about its highlights, the Infinix Band 5 features a 0.96-inch LCD display. The wearable from Infinix has an IP67 waterproof rating, so you need not be worried about damage caused due to water and sweat, claims the company. The latest offering supports continuous heart rate monitoring as well.
The Infinix Band 5 fitness tracker comes with sport tracking features. With this ability, it can track the number of steps, heart rate, hours of sleep, and calories burnt among others. The details can be accessed via the Infinix Life2.0 app, which you can download in the paired smartphone to know the metrics as and when you want.
A 90mAh battery powers the fitness tracker and the company touts that this battery can last up to seven days and a standby time of 23 days on a single charge. Like the other fitness bands, the Infinix Band 5 comes with support for notifications for text, calls, social media updates, and Whatsapp among others.
There are features such as the search for the phone, weather forecast, and alarm reminder. Notably, the Infinix Band 5 will be compatible with devices that run Android and iOS platforms with Bluetooth 4.0.
What We Think
Well, the Infinix Band 5 priced at Rs. 1,799 is definitely one of the affordable fitness trackers in the country. But there is Xiaomi Mi Band 4, which is one of the bestselling offerings in the fitness tracker segment. And, there could be a tough challenge that Infinix has to face against Xiaomi.
